Dick
Meijer, Vice President – General Manager of Canada, Australasia, Sub-Saharan Africa and the Indian Subcontinent
Genzyme Corporation
Dick Meijer is a Dutch national and has been relocated to Genzyme’s head office in Cambridge, US in April 2002 to assume the position of Vice President – General Manager of the Asia Pacific region that included China, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, South East Asia and Australasia.
In the beginning of 2007 he was appointed in his current position.
In 1991, Dick Meijer was co-founder of Genzyme Europe BV., in the Netherlands. Before his relocation to the United States, he served as Vice President – General Manager for Scandinavia, Finland, Benelux, Greece and Portugal and was based at Genzyme European Headquarters in the Netherlands.
In that role, he provided leadership in the European introduction of Ceredase and Cerezyme for the treatment of patients suffering from Gaucher disease.
Additional responsibilities included market development in the Central and Eastern European countries for almost 4 years. He is the co-founder of the Dutch Society for Medical Biotechnology Industry, Biofarmind and was chairman of the working group on Orphan Drugs in Biofarmind.
He is member of the Board of Directors of various Genzyme subsidiaries around the world. He studied International Management at the CEDEP, Centre d’Education d’European Permanente in Fontainebleau in France and INSEAD in Singapore.
He has more than 30 years experience in the health care industry i.e., medical, pharmaceutical and biotechnology with a sound track record for commercializing medical, therapeutic and innovative biotechnology products, as well as building local country infrastructure, partnerships, distributions agreements in Europe and Asia.
Before joining Genzyme in 1991, Dick Meijer served in various sales, marketing and senior management positions with GD Searle, Boehringer Mannheim and Baxter in the Netherlands.

J. Moore, President of International Distributor Management
Boston Scientific Corporation
Dan
joined Boston Scientific in 1989 as Territory Manager and
most recently was Vice President and General Manager for Boston
Scientific's Vascular Surgery business. In this role, he led
a cross-functional team to restore growth to this franchise
while advancing Endovascular Aortic Stent Graft programs.
Previously, he was Vice President of Marketing for Inter-Continental
responsible for the Marketing program covering all businesses.
In this role, he led the launch of the TAXUS® paclitaxel-eluting
coronary stent system in the Inter-Continental markets. In
addition, Dan has helped develop and facilitate Program for
Advanced Leadership and Management (PALM) courses at Boston
Scientific while also leading the Company's first high-impact
team focusing on capital equipment.
Prior
to Boston Scientific, Dan spent four years at Procter &
Gamble where he held a variety of management and sales positions.
Dan
has served on several industry boards, including the board
of directors of TriVascular, Inc., and the International Society
of Endovascular Specialists and currently serves on the board
for Smiling Kids Charity.
Dan
earned a B.A. from Harvard University and a M.B.A. with high
honors from Boston University.

W. Pascoe, Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer
ARIAD Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
Richard
Pascoe has served as ARIAD’s Chief Commercial Officer
since November 2005. Prior to ARIAD, Mr. Pascoe served in
numerous senior commercial positions at King Pharmaceuticals
Inc. to include Senior Vice-President of King’s Neuroscience
franchise, Vice President of Primary Care Sales, Vice President
of International, and Vice-President of Hospital Sales.
Mr.
Pascoe was Director of Marketing at Medco Research Inc. from
1999 to late 2000 when Medco was acquired by King. Prior to
Medco Research, Mr. Pascoe was a Regional Sales Manager with
COR Therapeutics from 1997 to 1999. From 1993 to 1997, Mr.
Pascoe held positions at B. Braun Interventional as Regional
Manager and Hospital Account Manager.
Mr.
Pascoe is a 1986 graduate of the United States Military Academy
and served as a commissioned officer in the United States
Army from 1986 to 1991.
