Intellectual Property Attorney Shann Kerner Joins Firm as PartnerMay 3, 2017
BOSTON, MA - Morse Barnes-Brown Pendleton is pleased to announce that Shann Kerner, Ph.D., J.D., has joined the firm as a Member. "Shann’s arrival continues the growth of our patent practice," said Managing Partner Lisa M. Warren, "adding her expertise in the realms of molecular and cell biology, biochemistry, immunology, virology, and plant biology. We’re very happy to have her with us." John J. Tumilty, Chair of the Firm’s litigation practice and Member-in-Charge of the Firm’s Boston office where Shann will be based, added, "Shann is a great fit for us, since in addition to her knowledge in the areas of patent procurement and portfolio management, she’s also experienced in handling IP due diligence in connection with investments, mergers and acquisitions, IPOs, and internal audits, all of which complements our corporate practice as well."

Prior to pursuing her legal career, Dr. Kerner held a joint appointment as a faculty member at Harvard Medical School, Department of Neuropathology, and at Boston Children's Hospital, Department of Developmental Neurobiology. She is also past Co-Chair of the Biotechnology Committee of the Boston Patent Law Association (BPLA), and is a member of the Board of Directors of the US/ Russia Chamber of Commerce of New England.
