Attorney Krakau practices in all aspects of trademark law, including litigation, opposition and cancellation proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, prosecution, enforcement, and transactional work, including intellectual property licensing and the IP portions of mergers and acquisitions.
He has represented clients across a wide variety of industries, including pharmaceuticals, healthcare, sporting goods, energy drinks, interactive gaming, semiconductors, online retailers, publishing, and education. He also enjoys representing entrepreneurs in the early stages of their business plans, as well as clients in the field of sports and entertainment.
He has lectured and written extensively on trademark topics. Before attending law school, Krakau worked for four years as a journalist, which helped him hone his writing and interrogation skills. He graduated from Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa, in 1993 with a B.A. in history. He graduated summa cum laude from The Ohio State University College of Law in 2000.
