Mike Cavaretta Quoted on Strength of Video Game Cluster in Massachusetts

WALTHAM, MA — Michael Cavaretta, attorney with Morse, Barnes-Brown & Pendleton, was quoted in a recent Massachusetts Wire article on WBZ.com, "Video game technology could fuel Mass. recovery." The article states that Massachusetts, due in part to its proximity to MIT, is a hot bed for video game producers, including creators of the top selling "Rock Band," "BioShock" and "The Lord of the Rings Online." The article states despite these top hits, the Boston-area video cluster ranks fourth or fifth nationwide.

Cavaretta is mentioned in the article as a founder of the MIT Enterprise Forum-Interactive Entertainment Special Interest Group, "a kind of trade organization for the gaming community," and is quoted remarking that video games are proving to be recession-proof. "It's a relatively inexpensive form of entertainment and in times like these people tend to spend more time at home,'' he said.

Mike represents information and technology businesses, including Internet, videogame and other interactive media companies, software companies, and entertainment and publishing companies. He also represents life sciences companies, including medical device and pharmaceutical developers, producers and distributors.
