A member of the Firm’s Corporate Practice Group and its IP Licensing & Strategic Alliances Practice Group, Ryan assists companies with compliance under various privacy and data security regulatory regimes, and works with clients in crafting privacy policies and terms and conditions.
Ryan is a Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US). He is actively involved in negotiating software licensing agreements, including Software as a Service (SaaS) agreements from both the perspective of service providers, as well as customers. Ryan also advises emerging and middle-market companies spanning a variety of different industries at all stages of development.
Prior to joining MBBP, Ryan practiced law at a well-known global law firm based in Boston, where he focused on the debt component of leveraged buy-outs as well as working capital credit facilities. During law school, Ryan served as a student attorney at the Boston College Legal Assistance Bureau, where he counseled local non-profits and low income start-ups.
Outside the office
A true music buff, particularly in classic and alternative rock, during college Ryan was a member of a band that toured the dive-bar scene of Montreal.
