Don practices general business law with a special emphasis on tax matters and immigration law. He represents privately-held corporations and other entities in connection with general business matters, financings, mergers and acquisitions, executive compensation and intellectual property matters.

He advises businesses, private equity funds and individuals on complex tax matters and tax-sensitive transactions. He specializes in partnership tax planning including negotiating and drafting investment, operating and family partnership and limited liability company agreements.

Don also represents corporations in connection with their immigration needs in Massachusetts and around the United States, including H-1B, L-1, E-1/2, O-1 and F-1 visas and visa status, employment-based permanent residence applications and naturalization matters. He also represents individuals in connection with employment and family-based immigration matters.

Before joining Morse, Barnes-Brown & Pendleton, Don was a member of Hutchins, Wheeler & Dittmar, Boston. He is a member of the American Bar Association and of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.

Don graduated from the University of Chicago in 1981, and Boston College Law School in 1988, where he was an editor of the International and Comparative Law Review. Don earned his LLM degree in taxation from the Boston University School of Law in 1994.
