Louis represents private and public high technology and emerging companies in mergers and acquisitions, seed and venture capital financings and general corporate matters. Louis also represents issuers in connection with initial public and secondary offerings, as well as general securities laws compliance.

As the former general counsel of a publicly traded company, Louis also has experience advising senior management on a wide range of legal and business issues, including contract negotiation, licensing and protection of intellectual property, corporate governance, executive compensation as well as matters relating to ongoing general securities laws compliance.

Prior to joining the firm, Louis served as general counsel of Mainspring, Inc. Prior to that he was an associate in the corporate departments of the Boston law firms Hutchins, Wheeler & Dittmar, P.C. and Testa, Hurwitz & Thibeault LLP.

Louis is a 1993 summa cum laude Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Boston College and received his J.D. degree cum laude from Boston College Law School in 1996.
